This was a pioneering steel company in a country where there was then absolutely nothing that could be remotely described as a 'steel industry.' More recently, in December 2002, the company completely reformed itself and was reestablished with the new name of YK Steel after emerging from the turbulent times when our plant was under the Kumho Industry Company and then Hanbo Iron Steel. For the past three years, YK Steel has been mainly focusing on building a strong, growth-backing infrastructure. The company has implemented hardware improvements critical for efficient corporate management, such as the modernization of its manufacturing processes, improvements in dust collecting facilities, and the adaptation of other advanced systems. Furthermore, the company has equally been enthusiastically developing and adopting innovation driven corporate software, such as our own Process Innovation program, as well as other creative systems for human resources management, customer satisfaction, and employee group activities.
